Only a short update + Canoe weekend

Only a short update this time because I’ve spend way too much time in front of my laptop installing a mediawiki ;-) Soon I’ll tell you more about this – but let’s say it like this: There will be LIUwiki quite soon!

The weekend was great – we’ve been canoing with perfekt weather and it’s been just great. As soon as I add the canoe trip-photos to the photos section you’ll all understand what I’m talking about.

Update – 2006-09: As you all have noticed – there’s no wiki, as I moved on to WordPress. There were too many problems that prevented me from getting mediawiki to work.

Finally the swedish course started – and a first progress is made because I can tell those speaking swedish with me: “Jag förstår inte!”

But the weather is still not getting any better – feels like the summer™ in Aachen with all this rain.

The orientation program… a lot of information about everything!

And I finally uploaded at least some photos! But I’m still having trouble with the webhoster as the blog-system is not available right now (even though it should be – as the tech-support told me I’ve “found a major bug”!), my webspace is mysteriously limited to 5 MB and picture resolution is limited to XGA… Let’s see how this develops :-/

The trip to Linköping

The trip with the ferry from Travemünde to Malmö was a good choice – this way the trip was divided into two parts and I was able to arrive at Linköping without being too exhausted. I got the keys for my room and was able to say “Hello!” to my corridor-mate Markus (Uni Kassel). There are no signs of the remaining six corridor-mates as the semester for the rest of the students begins in about three weeks as there will be only the intensive swedish course at the moment.
The ESN staff is great and we were able to enjoy a BBQ at our first evening in Sweden ;-) and get to know the other Erasmus students.
